A plus is the material is has enough structure and does not "print" the contents of my bag as I feared before. The sail material also wipes off any dust or spills much better than the thick weave nylon. Of course you feel the diamond weave but I feel the look and touch gives it a bit more luxury than the mainstream nylon found in most bags. The material is slightly louder but it’s smoother to the touch as you run your fingers across it. It is slightly thinner than the nylon, fully water resistance, a bit shinier, and has an awesome diamond weave pattern. Upon receiving the sling two days after ordering, I am thoroughly impressed by the material. I liked the thicker Ballistic Nylon because I sometimes off body carry my CCW when I can't appendix carry. My past knowledge of it was that sail is very thin that it would "print" or show off what is inside my sling and that the sail material will make a horrible crumpling sound. When the new material was released, I was hesitant to buy it because it was made of sail material. I am heavily biased towards the aesthetics and tech organization. Any longer of a trip, I would probably check in a regular medium size luggage to minimize wrinkles. At most, maybe a 4 day trip carry-on only bag to Las Vegas would be me pushing my packing limit. That being said, I rarely push my gear to the limit, as I’m not adventurous enough to solo travel for 4+ weeks or stay at hostels. My main transportation between all these areas is a car and I stay at hotels. This is a perspective from a regular dude who travels from the office, gym, and few international and domestic flights a year.
